A few days ago I decided that is time for a Rina Kent marathon! Yeah, it was about time! I love her books and because I haven’t started her last series, I thought it’s time to read from the beginning so I can make notes and everything that is needed in order to remember every character!
I absolutely loved Cruel King! It has it all: enemies to lovers (my favorite!), male main character to die for and an amazing female main character!
But let’s start with the basics. Kings and Cliffords are enemies. So Levi King and Astrid Clifford are kind of doomed! Yeah, right…
“You can be upset and angry all you want, but don’t bring another man in my presence again.” “Or what?” “I’ll end them. Every last fucking one of them.”
Levi is a King and not only in name. He walks the walk and he talks the talk. He wants Astrid and he fights until he can’t anymore. I love the way he calls her princess and when he’s jealous is so sexy! He is smart and larger than life and I loved him!
“Levi will never be the Prince Charming type. I’m completely fine with that. I always preferred the villain, anyway.”
I liked Astrid a lot! The death of her mother was devastating for her and she’s trying to cope but living with her stepmother and a father that feels like a stranger doesn’t help her at all. Now she has Levi’s attention and everything changes!
The secrets are many between them but their passion will prevail!
