“Broken Knight” by L.J Shen

Life is like a book, a long chain of scenes threaded together by circumstances and fate. You never know how thick or thin your book is, so you better make the most out of every scene, enjoy each chapter.”

This is the third time that I’ve read this book and the truth is that I will read it again many times because I love it so much! This book is not a simple love story. This book is so much more.

“There will be no one else, Moonshine.I will never let you get over me.”

Knight is the adopted son of my favorite Dean “Ruckus” Cole but he is so much like his father! He loves fiercely, he feels deeply and he cares so much that he’s hurting. He’s trying to do his best under the worst circumstances and sometimes I was so afraid for him. What he feels for Luna is amazing but he had to overcome his dark phase and I was glad to see that he did it right on time. His pain was so raw but, thankfully, he had help so he could heal.

Luna is a very special young woman. Through love, pain, bad and good decisions, she finds herself and her confidence. She is silent but she’s the strength behind every person in this story. She barely talks but her actions speak loudly.

“Not all love stories are written the same way. Ours had torn chapters, missing paragraphs, and a bittersweet ending.”

Their love story is amazing because it’s real. They made mistakes, they said cruel things but true love overcomes every obstacle!

Now, this book isn’t only about Knight and Luna. This book is about Dean and Rosie also and their part broke me. I knew that Rosie would die young but everything she did, everything she said, the way Dean was feeling… it was too much for me. I couldn’t stop crying! They way they loved each other was amazing!

“Ride or die,” he whispered.

“Ride.” I closed my eyes, smiling. “Always ride.”

This book is one of my favorites and it will be always in my heart!

“Pretty Reckless” by L.J. Shen

“I’ve loved you in secret, and I’ve loved you openly in front of both our worlds, and if you think I’ll stop loving you if you put an ocean between us, you’re dead wrong.”

It’s time for the second generation of sinners and I have to say that they’ll give their parents a run for their money! This book was very good and you know why? Because the main characters had many faults and they were the real deal!

“Love. Four letters can't cover what I feel for Daria Followhill. They seem too trivial, too small, too overused.”

I’ll start with Daria. She is the queen in All Saints High and she acts like a total bitch. She wants for the whole world to see her ugly side. But deep down, she’s just a scared girl with too many regrets. Although, she’s trying so hard to pretend she’s bad, it’s easy to see that she’s crying for help.

“We break things all the time. It's called life. If you don't break, you don't live. You don't move. You don't try. You don't take chances. Breaking is a part of living.”

Penn is the right man for Daria. He’s the one who can see past her armor and give her the love she deserves. The fact that he is hot and the chemistry between them is amazing is a bonus!

It was good to see Jamie’s and Mel’s POV and to see that their love is pretty strong after so many years!

“Bane” by L.J. Shen

“Spoiler: the princess saves herself in this fairytale.”

Of course I loved this book! It’s not an easy story to read because there is too much pain, but it is very well written with interesting characters. What I liked most was the fact that this story shows us that we have to be strong and to fight for our lives.

“Maybe love wasn’t about feeling happy and whole. Maybe love was about breaking so the person you cared for would feel a little more whole.”

Bane is a man with many demons. But the truth is that these demons aren’t truly his. He believes that because his father was bad, he’s going to be bad too. He’s trying to do great things, but in the process he lost a part of himself. And when Jesse came to his life, it’s time to be the man he truly is.

“You didn’t just walk into my life…You stormed into it. You left me no choice but to heal. Now I want everything.”

Jesse’s past is beyond words. What she went through was horrific and it’s easy to break her. It was good to see that she tried to take her life back. It wasn’t easy but step by step she managed to succeed. She’s so strong and she did everything in her power to make the bastards pay for what they did to her. I loved the way she was with Bane and I truly believe that they’re perfect for each other!

A great story but, to be honest, I missed the Four HotHoles a lot!!!

“Scandalous” by L.J Shen

This series is getting better and better! Although Trent was the most mysterious of the Four HotHoles for me, I have to admit that his book was amazing!

Trent’s life wasn’t an easy one. His dad is black, his mom white and he lived in a very white privileged city. He lost his scholarship because of an accident and he did many jobs in order to take a university degree. What he had? He had three friends that were with him all the way to his success. And he became one of the most powerful men. But still his life is kind of lonely and the fact that he has a beautiful daughter who doesn’t speak since the day her mother abandoned her.

Eddie’s life should be amazing. She comes from money and she’s as white as it gets. But her life is almost a nightmare. Her father is an asshole, her mother not on her right mind and she has to look after for herself and her brother as best as she can without any financial support.

He is 33 and she is 18 but both of them are wise beyond their age and their chemistry is over the top! They are absolutely great together! But I have to admit that Luna stole my heart in this story!!

I love this series so much!

“Ruckus” by L.J Shen

“Love felt like dipping each other in gasoline and burning together. Love felt like dancing with madness in the dark, watching all of its bright lights. Love felt like gasping for air when your lungs were already full.”

I LOVE this book! Like, I really really love it!!! Dean “Ruckus” Cole has my heart and I am not ashamed to admit that he’s one of my all time book boyfriends!

This is the story of Dean and Rosie. This is a story of a great love that lost ten years because everyone was a fucking idiot! Yeah, I love them all but they made terrible mistakes. If Vicious wasn’t so stubborn and claimed Millie since high school, then Dean and Rosie would be together since then!

“You’re awfully possessive.”

…“That’s because you’re awfully mine.”

Dean “Ruckus” Cole is one of the Four HotHoles and he always parties hard with many women. Everyone thinks that he has it all: looks, money, status. No one knows that he’s suffering. Dean wants Rosie but his history with her sister makes it kind of hard for them to be together. But, now, after so many years, Dean will claim her and he’s not taking no for an answer. I have to say here… I absolutely love that he’s calling her Baby LeBlanc.

“What makes you feel alive?

Regret. For regret reminds you that life has a weight. Sometimes it’s heavier. Sometimes it’s lighter.”

Rosie is a favorite character of mine. I love the way she’s trying to live her life in the fullest. I am sad for her, because she knows that her time is precious and she doesn’t want to be treated like an invalid. The way she loves is fierce and she’s very protective. She’s the perfect woman for Dean, because she understands him like no one else.

I love their story so much! Also, I loved all the scenes with the Four HotHoles because they are so good together! And, little Knight at the end of the book?? Absolutely perfect!!!

“Vicious” by L.J. Shen

“You were always mine. -Black”

I am obsessed with this book! I can’t get enough! This is the third time I’ve read this book and I am already thinking that I will read it again!

“I loved her when I hated her. And I loved her when I didn’t want anything to do with her. I was so crazy about her, the lines had blurred together. Feelings were mixed, emotions twisted together.”

Vicious… What can I say about him? For me he’s the original alpha-sociopath-bad-boy I love! His obsession with Emilia is beyond words and the way he acts screams RED FLAGS but I couldn’t care less! Everyone says that he’s unfeeling but I disagree. He just feels in a different way.

“We’ve waited a long time for this. I want the real thing. Not the watered-down version. And the real thing is not only beautiful. It is also ugly. I want your truth.”

Emilia is one of my favorite female characters. She’s strong, determined and with great compassion. She loves deeply and without conditions. She’s a fucking rainbow that brings color in Vicious’ life!

“Apologize for not being mine when you should’ve been. Because Emilia, baby...” I tilted my head sideways. “It was always fucking us and you know it.”

Their chemistry is amazing and it was good to see what happened ten years ago because that made clear all the changes in the characters through the years.

Of course, I love all the Four HotHoles and the way they protect each other! God, these men are definitely my favorites!

If you haven’t read this series, it’s time! Do yourself a favor!!!

“Defy” by L. J. Shen

These days I’m rereading some of my favorite books and “Sinners of Saint” series is definitely on the top of my list of all time favorites! This one is a prequel novella about Jaime and Melody.

Melody is a 26 years old, ex ballerina and a teacher who hates her job. Jaime is 18 years old, her student and hot-as-hell. But if you think that Jaime is some young naïve guy, you are absolutely wrong. He is definitely more put together than Melody and he helps her a lot. And the way he claims her? Abso-fucking-lutely perfect!

Although a short read, it was a great one! The erotic scenes were amazing and the characters well developed. If you are new to this genre, this is the perfect beginning!

“Rogue” by Elle Kennedy

I believe that I enjoyed this book even more than the first one! The story continues with the multiple POVs but this time I was prepared so I didn’t have problem. The second book is more about Fenn and Casey and their story.

Well, the characters are well-developed and I like the fact that they are not all lovable. I like most of them, but I am not fan of Silas. RJ and Sloane are my favorites because they got their shit together and now they are together. Fenn and Casey have a long journey in this book until they found their happiness together and they’re making some grave mistakes on the way. My personal favorite is Lawson. Yeah, I know. He is shady but I believe that he is in so much pain.

The story is well written and the angst was real when I was reading this book! It’s a very good book and I can’t wait to read the next one!

“The Cruel Prince” by Holly Black

My reading slump is awful these days but this book was very good and made me want to read and finish a book again! I really love the wor...
