“Misfit” by Elle Kennedy

Well that was unexpected! To be honest when I start reading this book, I was expecting something very different. It was weird to see so many POVs but, after a while I got used to it. But because of the multiple POVs, I can’t say that we had main characters. Or, even better, everyone is a main character!

RJ is a hacker and he finds himself in a weird situation when his mother married a very wealthy man and now he is in a private school with his new stepbrother. He’s not used to rely on people but soon he finds himself not only with his new step-brother and some very morally grey friends, but with a girlfriend with a very annoying ex!

Sloane is one of a kind type of woman. Definitely not an easy character, she is very strong but she’s tired to act like she can handle everything all the time. I liked her a lot because she’s not some damsel in distress and she’s not afraid of her sexuality!

Fenn is the stepbrother and a young man that hides a lot. His relationship with his father in non-existent, he seems to really care about Casey (Sloane’s sister) but he holds back and he truly likes his new step-brother. But his secrets are too many and this don’t look good for him.

Lawson is kind of mysterious. He’s sexualization personalized! He’s bi and he’s not afraid to use it to his own advantage. To be honest, I believe that this one has more depth that he’s let on.

Now about Silas… Well, I don’t know what to say about him. Although, he seems like the most normal, it’s easy to see that he has secrets and he makes some questionable decisions. The jury is still out on him!

Well, it was a very nice read with a lot of mystery and many funny and hot moments! I will read the second one too!

“The Dare” by Elle Kennedy

A very nice read! I really didn’t know what to expect of Conor’s story and it took me by surprise. Conor and Taylor were an unexpected couple but an amazing one!

“I want you. I’ve wanted you since the moment I watched you cross the room at that party.”

Conor is amazing! He’s funny, sexy and very charming. But behind his carefree behavior, there is hurt and sadness about his past life. Every woman wants him but he wants something different, something real. When Taylor comes to his life, it’s time for the world to see the real Conor and for us to fall in love with the main character!

“You’re ridiculously attractive, Taylor.” This time when he speaks, I don’t doubt his sincerity, if perhaps his sanity. I suppose someone like him doesn’t get around so much by being picky. “Don’t spend any more time believing otherwise.”

I liked Taylor a lot! She’s cute and funny but she’s very insecure about her appearance, especially about her body. To be honest, I empathize with her and I know it’s pretty hard to deal. Conor makes her feel beautiful and desired and he helped her be more open and it was amazing to see!

Like the previous books, I absolutely loved all the hockey players! When they went all together in the mall for shopping, was hilarious!

It was a great read for all the fans of this genre!

“The Play” by Elle Kennedy

This is the third book in Elle Kennedy’s series and it’s as good as the previous two. I love Elle Kennedy’s writing style and I am enjoying so much her books!

“No one has a harder job than the man who comes after the cheater.”

This is the story of Hunter and Demi. We met Hunter in the first book but I have to admit that he’s better now. He’s definitely more mature, captain of hockey team and dedicated in his quest to be a more responsible person. I liked him because he has a great sense of humor and he’s a very good friend. It was funny to see him trying to be celibate.

“You mean more to me than hockey,” he says simply, and damned if that doesn’t make my heart expand. “Get it through your stubborn head.”

Demi was the kind of woman that everyone is drawn to her. She’s a very outgoing person and I loved her sense of humor and the way she was expressing her sensuality. Also, it was good to read the way she confront her cheating boyfriend. And, thankfully, a woman who is not afraid to eat!

I have to say something important. So far in this series, I like all the FMCs because they are strong, independent women, smart and sassy who are not afraid to accept their sensuality. They have confidence and they are successful in their fields.

What I liked most in this book besides the romance? The fact that it made me laugh! The whole story with the egg and the hockey team was hilarious and the relationship between Hollis and Rupi? Simply perfect!

So, I loved this story!!!!

“The Risk” by Elle Kennedy

This book was so good, I couldn’t put it down! Although, I loved the first book in this series, I believe that this one is even better! Brenna and Jake is definitely a very interesting couple and their chemistry is off the charts!

Jake is hockey player and the captain of Harvard’s hockey team. He’s going professional and he has no interest for relationship. Until Brenna. Because when he meets her, he knows  that he wants her. The problem? She is the daughter of the coach Briar U, Harvard’s biggest rival. I liked Jake because he’s sexy and funny. I didn’t like some of his decisions, but it was good to see that he changed his mind.

Brenna is definitely one of my favorite female characters in a book! She’s sexy, sassy and witty. She’s a great friend and softhearted although she has a very strong façade. What I liked most was how confident she was with her body and her appearance. Her relationship with her father was weird and I was glad that they talked and made things straight.

I really liked the plot and the secondary characters especially Hollis and a Rupi! OMG! I couldn’t see this coming but I loved them! I couldn’t stop laughing when I read about them!

So, if you haven’t start this series what are you waiting for?

“The Chase” by Elle Kennedy

This was a nice read! A slow burn sports romance, full of angst and with very interesting characters.

“My brain goes caveman on me. Summer scream. Summer danger. Save Summer.”

Fitz is not only a hot hockey player full of tattoos but he is also a very smart game designer. He is attracted to Summer but he doesn’t want to admit it, because she is not his usual type. I have to admit that his behavior wasn’t the best at first. He made mistakes and he nearly lost his chance to be happy. For the first half of the book he was judgmental and he had every stereotypical though about Summer, but thankfully he finally realized his mistake.

“She has the kind of smile that makes a man want to start writing very bad poetry. Dazzling and genuine and as beautiful as the rest of her.”

Summer is like her name! Full of life and energy. But she is so much more. Her learning disabilities is something that bothers her but she did all her best in order to succeed and that is showing her strength. Although, she is super wealthy, she wants to rely on herself and to be successful in her own way. I liked her a lot because she has great sense of humor and she loves passionately.

The story is great because it’s funny, with sweet with many emotional moments. Also, the story is addressing important topics as abuse of power and stereotypical thinking.

I really liked and the secondary characters also. It’s a refreshing read and I truly believe that all the fans of this genre will like it!

“God of Fury” by Rina Kent

I knew I was going to love God of Fury, but I didn’t know that I was going to be obsessed over this book! I reread many books by Rina Kent before I read Legacy of Gods series and I believe that I made the right choice because every single book has amazing characters. But this one? OMG! I loved Nikolai and Brandon so much!

“I just want you to know that you deserve to be loved in the light, Niko. Just like everyone else.”

Nikolai is like a hurricane! He is restless and with never ending energy. He is full of fury and the only thing that can calm him is Brandon. I loved his sense of humor and his memory as a five year old child who discovers his “body parts” was hilarious!

“Even if you hate yourself, I’ll love you for the both of us.”

Brandon is an amazing but tortured hero. He was battling an inner war with himself and it was hard to read about his suffering. He’s very different from Nikolai but that’s the reason they are good together. I loved his relationship with his family and I cried when he was talking with Landon at the end of the book.

“You loved me when I didn’t even like myself. You held me together when I was falling apart and helped me put myself back together one piece at a time until I became the man I am today.”

I truly believe that Nikolai and Brandon were soulmates. Their connection was something beautiful to read!

Of course, in the book we have a chat between our favorite characters about their kids and it’s easy to see that Aiden and Cole are going to have their hands full with Eli and Ava!

“God of Ruin” by Rina Kent

I will be honest and you can call me crazy. I was team Landon since I first read about him and this book proves me right!

“Happy Birthday, little muse. Remember, a future where you don’t belong to me doesn’t exist.”

I knew that Landon won’t be an easy man to deal with and with the way that his mind works is even more difficult. He is a genius and he is always a step above everyone else, something that doesn’t help in his popularity with the other guys! He is intense and possessive and almost every other male character in this series wants a piece of him and not in a good way. From the moment he realized that Mia is his muse he did everything in his power to conquer her. He thought he was empty but Mia proved him wrong. His feelings are different but not less intense. It was amazing seeing him ready to sacrifice his talent in order to be with Mia!

“And I’ll make sure to bring her demons to their knees before they hurt her, even if it’s the last thing I do.”

I liked Mia a lot. She’s smart, sassy and she doesn’t hide her feelings. What I liked most was that she didn’t want to change Landon. She wanted to understand him. She wanted to know how his mind worked. She loved his creativity and his intelligence first and then she loved the man he was. She had to deal with a lot in her life as well and he helped her a lot.

A scene in this book that I loved? When Mia’s father spoke on the phone with Jonathan King! Well, that was hilarious!!!

It was good to see many of the other characters here and I can’t wait for their story!

“God of Wrath” by Rina Kent

This was an AMAZING book! Jeremy and Cecily together??? OMG, the chemistry between them was AWESOME!

The story was dark and sensual and full of angst. I have to say that I love a story with a shy woman and a bad and possessive man and this one was so hot!

“I'm not a nice man, Cecily. I won't pretend otherwise, or I'd be doing you and myself a disservice. What I am, however, is someone who'll slaughter your demons one by one until you're finally free of them. I'll touch your scars until you normalize them and can live with them, because they're what makes you who you are.”

What can I say about Jeremy? He’s my favorite kind of psycho! Possessive, dangerous, hot as hell and larger than life. For me it was love at first sight! For god’s sake he bought her limited editions of her favorite manga!! I loved the way he was stalking her and he took care of her.

“You’re mine, not anyone else’s, fucking mine. Now, beg and say my name.”

Cecily is a favorite character! She takes care of everyone in need and she’s someone you can count on. But she has a dark side that she wants to explore and Jeremy is the perfect guide for her. Also, she has a big secret that must confront than no one else knows about. What I liked most about her is that through the story she became stronger and more confident.

Of course, a favorite scene was the chat between Xander, Aiden, Levi, Ronan and Cole! I swear these guys are the best! Love them to pieces!

Amazing story and characters! Rina Kent did it again!

“God of Pain” by Rina Kent

OMG! I had it bad with the parents but with their kids???? I can’t even describe my feelings! I love them all!

This story has it all: a troubled sadistic alpha male (hot!), a mafia princess, friends with hidden agendas and a past that can change their lives. Yeah, I loved every page of this book!

“She’s the light I never thought I needed and the one person who can fill up the hollowness.”

Creighton is the silent guy. The one that keeps hidden the most dangerous secrets. And the one that feels the most even if he seems heartless. I loved him because at some point I saw the scared 3-years-old boy who was alone and needed a good family. He was a sadist but the way he was holding Annika? OMG, I was so jealous of a female main character!!! He was adopted by Aiden and Elsa King but he is their son in every way that matters.

“I would rather die than live without you.”

Annika is a mafia princess and she knows her fate. And she knew that she had to change it. She’s the opposite of Creighton. Where he is dark, she is light. Where he is black or white, she is every color in the rainbow. But they are so good together! She is stronger than anyone gives her credit for and I liked her a lot!

I loved the plot and the sex scenes were amazing! Of course, it was good to see Aiden again and all the secondary characters. I have to admit that I love Eli even if he looks like a psychopath! I can’t wait for the next book!

“The Cruel Prince” by Holly Black

My reading slump is awful these days but this book was very good and made me want to read and finish a book again! I really love the wor...
